We're here! Welcome to the Casa de Antonio Montero, popularly known as the Romantic Museum. Take a moment to observe the imposing exterior façade before entering the door, because what you are seeing is one of the greatest treasures of the Old City of Montevideo. The history of this land began in 1778, in the middle of the colonial era, when Bernardo de la Torre had his home and business built here.
