Illuminated fountain
We arrive at the Luminous Fountain of Parque Batlle, one of the emblematic points of this great green lung of Montevideo. We are located right at the intersection of Dr. Luis P. Henriques Avenue (continuation of Morquio) and Dr. Américo Ricaldoni Avenue, a traditional access to the park for those coming from the city center. History. Over the years, its structure has been part of the daily route of neighbors and visitors, establishing itself as a visual point of reference in the area. To ensure its operation and preserve the urban heritage, the Municipality of Montevideo carried out a comprehensive rehabilitation work that was completed in October 2020. During these works, the piping system was completely renewed, installing thermofused polypropylene material, and the old pumping equipment was replaced with three modern pumps of greater capacity.
