Here we are, in front of La Trastienda Montevideo, located on Daniel Fernández Crespo Street 1763, in the Cordón neighborhood. History The original concept was born in Buenos Aires at the end of 1993, consolidating itself as a leading space for live music from the River Plate. In November 2008, this headquarters in Montevideo opened its doors with the aim of providing an intermediate format room that offered international-level technical conditions. The choice of the building was not accidental: an old warehouse structure was recycled, adapting its industrial architecture and preserving high ceilings and exposed beams to convert them into a modern venue oriented towards acoustics and the comfort of the public. Present Today, the place functions as one of the most active cultural and entertainment centers in the city. Its billboard constantly integrates the main exponents of rock, pop, murga, candombe and tango from Uruguay, along with tours by regional and international artists. The room has an approximate capacity of up to 800 people standing on the floor (or about 400 seated), distributed on a ground floor and a mezzanine or balcony area. Its design offers direct proximity to the stage from any location, as well as service bars and gastronomic options designed to accompany each function.
