Ralli Museum

Here we are, in the heart of the Beverly Hills neighborhood of Punta del Este, surrounded by a beautiful tree-lined park. We are in front of the Ralli Museum, a space dedicated to contemporary Latin American and European art. This museum, founded in 1988, has a particular history, as it was the first of the five Ralli museums to open its doors. All of them are part of the Harry Recanati Foundation, created by Harry Recanati with the main objective of disseminating contemporary art. The Ralli Foundation museums are distributed throughout South America, with headquarters in Punta del Este and Santiago de Chile, in Spain, in Marbella, and in Israel, in Caesarea. An important detail is that entry to all these museums is free, since they are non-profit. As we enter, you will notice the spaciousness of its more than 6000 square meters. The design, the work of Uruguayan architects Marita Casciani and Manuel Quinteiro, alternates large exhibition rooms with interior patios where bronze and marble sculptures are erected, creating a serene environment conducive to contemplation. The Ralli Museum places special emphasis on Ibero-American art, characters and events, with predominantly French influences, and also on Sephardic Judaism, highlighting its historical milestones.
